BBVATS designs court complexes and buildings for India’s police and security forces: the District Court at Shahdara, interiors for the Delhi High Court, the CRPF headquarters in New Delhi, and stations and campuses for Delhi Police and the CISF.

01 Overview
A court complex is civic infrastructure first and a building second. It has to move thousands of people a day without ever feeling like a crowd.
The District Court at Shahdara has 90,000 m² of built area on a 60,200 m² site. Court rooms, judges’ chambers, advocates’ chambers and public services are organised around clear, supervised circulation. At the Delhi High Court we designed the interiors of 12 court rooms, with judges’ chambers, a judges’ lounge and waiting areas.
For security clients the work runs from the 50,180 m² CRPF headquarters at the CGO Complex to police stations, posts, a women’s hostel and staff quarters for Delhi Police, the CISF 11th Reserve Battalion campus at Nashik, and the National Academy of Coastal Policing at Okha, Gujarat. Each is delivered as complete comprehensive consultancy: architecture, structure, MEPF and allied services.
