01 Overview

A single tower asked to be many institutions at once — offices, auditorium, conference halls, canteen and gymnasium — over a basement, ground and ten storeys.

The headquarters consolidates the working life of a national scientific organisation into one address on a compact Salt Lake plot. BBVATS carries the project as complete comprehensive consultancy — structural, MEPF and all allied services — coordinated through a single BIM model.

Challenge

Many institutions,
one footprint

A constrained urban plot had to hold a Director-General’s suite, auditorium and conference halls, a canteen, gymnasium and several floors of offices — without the tower reading as a stack of unrelated programmes.

Approach

A vertical campus
on a tight plot

Public and ceremonial functions sit low and accessible; offices rise above; amenities tuck into the basement and roof. A disciplined structural grid lets every floor be re-planned over the building’s life.

Outcome

The studio’s
flagship address

A complete, serviced headquarters that anchors the firm’s institutional portfolio across eastern India.
