To extend one of Asia’s oldest museums is to build in conversation with history.
The extension of the Indian Museum, Kolkata — among the oldest museums in Asia — was won in an All-India design competition. Its foundation stone was laid by the then President of India, Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma.
